Pre-Kindergarten Curriculum

Pre-Kindergarten Curriculum

St. Vincent Ferrer School's PreKindergarten Class is the perfect space for our 4 year old students to explore, discover, learn and have fun!

From the Letter People early education curriculum to specials like Spanish, Music, P.E., and Library Time, students thrive and blossom in this nurturing environment.

Our teachers and parents work together to nurture and promote social skills that will foster self-confidence and awaken a pure love of learning in our students. Hands-on activities help lead to crucial and fundamental pre-academic skills.

The principles of our Catholic faith are integrated throughout the day including prayer and participation at first Friday Mass where they join our K-8 students.  Respect for all, community service and peaceful resolution of conflict through "I-Care Cat" lessons build the blocks of our caring classroom.

In 2009, SVF became a VPK provider (Voluntary PreKindergarten Program).   Florida Standards were adopted which reflect the latest research on child development and developmentally appropriate practices for four-year-old children.

Benchmarks are now available in three areas: the domains of Language and Communication and Emergent Literacy, and in Mathematical Thinking, further explaining what Florida's children should know and be able to do at the end of the VPK experience.
